United Fruit announce their (very welcome) return with a dream single.

The Glaswegian quartet will release their latest EP, Nightmare Recovery, on 13 November (via Ditto Music) and this title track is the melodic but explosive teaser for what’s to come.

The band have been experimenting with post-punk, post-rock and shoegaze influences for the new EP, whilst still holding onto the soaring rock that they’re known for. As guitarist Stuart Galbraith put it: “You’ve got to believe you’re going to do bigger and better things every time… you’ve got to have that vision or else you’re not going to do it. We’re here, so it’s kinda worked.”

From the delicious opening riff through to the anthemic chorus, this feels huge – like it needs to be heard live. In a big venue. Now. Handily, United Fruit are hitting the road on a run of UK headline dates in November.

This single is the stuff of my rock fantasies and I’ve had it on repeat since first listen. The only nightmare would be if you missed them on tour.

2015 UK Headline Tour Dates:

Mon Nov 9 UK Liverpool Studio 2
Tue Nov 10 UK Birmingham The Ooblek
Wed Nov 11 UK London The Black Heart

Sun Nov 15 UK Edinburgh Sneaky Pete’s
